Years of guerrilla warfare and civil unrest against the corrupt, oppressive government have left the city scarred and it’s people unruly. In an effort to control the rebel forces, the tyrannical government has hired private military contractors to build a wall through the city; separating the wealthy and privileged from the poor and oppressed. Your mission is to unite a once divided populous under one banner, attack the wall and claim the city back for the people.

Over the past few months, the Delta Force Paintball 101 series has covered all kinds of topics ranging from classic paintball tricks to stealth. Recently, we’ve had a few requests from customers over at the Delta Force facebook page asking our resident paintball experts at Delta Force HQ for some game specific tactics so we thought we'd oblige.
June 6th, 1944 – ‘D-Day’.
The course of the war and the liberation of Western Europe rests on the success of Operation Overlord. The airborne invasion of the French coast began just after midnight and now thousands of amphibious landing craft filled with English and American troops are heading across the English Channel towards the beaches of Normandy. You and your fellow soldiers must fight your way up the beach, making the most of the minimal cover scattered along the shoreline, and take out the German defenses at all costs.
Paintball is an extremely tactical sport and if you and your team want to acheive victory then you'll need to employ a variety of tactics throughout the course of a paintball game in order to do so. However, during the heat of battle when you’re at the frontline, pinned down under enemy fire the number of tricks at your disposal is drastically reduced. One underrated tactic to use in this situation, which unfortunately has a reputation as being the coward’s way out among some paintballers, is to retreat back to a better position.
Dark, gloomy and dangerous – these three words typify the elements that you will be facing as you attempt to eliminate the enemy in The Haunted Graveyard. The graveyard is teeming with hostiles so your aim will need to be impeccable as you move from tombstone to tombstone. Your mission is to clear the graveyard of all hostiles and return to base alive.

Every sport comes with it’s own vocabulary and paintball is no different. Last year, the Delta Force Frontier blog published a beginners guide to paintball vocabulary but we forgot to include one commonly used piece of paintball terminology and that’s ‘bunkering’. To understand what ‘bunkering’ means, let’s first clarify what a paintball ‘bunker’ is.
A heavily guarded enemy munitions supply convoy lumbers its way through the Ardennes forest towards the front line. After weeks of brutal open warfare, munitions supplies on both sides are dwindling – as is the number of soldiers in your unit. Your mission is to storm the convoy, capture the trucks in an ambush and stop these munitions from reaching the front lines at all costs.

Every sport has it’s own set of unique tricks and techniques; whether it be football with all it’s fancy footwork or cricket with it’s wide variety of bowling and batting techniques. Paintball is no different – there are dozens of little tricks and techniques that all players employ from time to time that can really change the outcome of the game when used correctly.
